Artist Statement
Robin is excited by so much that painting presents: colour relationships, the defining effects of light and shadow on shapes and the delicious feel of paint flowing from a brush. She is also fascinated by the mysterious ways our eyes and minds interpret what we see. For example, that we can “see” three dimensions on a flat surface of a painting and that the exact same tone can be interpreted as both dark and light depending on what it is next to.
