Artist Statement
While studying aikido and acupuncture, Manami realized that human abilities are influenced by nature. After the 2011 earthquake, Manami traveled around the world and drew pictures of people. She studied glass art and bodywork in California, and opened a creative studio in Tokyo in 2013. She moved to Victoria in 2021, where she gave birth to a baby girl. Now she focuses on oil pastel, acrylic and watercolors.
