Charmaine Elgood is a visual artist with an eclectic portfolio.
The artist’s education in the visual arts began in her teens. She always wanted to be a visual artist realizing it would be a lifelong study. However, until the early 1970s, for survival purposes, other professions and consuming

She has continued these studies as well as exposure to the fine arts in Canada, the western US, Mexico, New Zealand, Hawaii, Europe, and recently England. Also researching and experimenting are on-going processes in her life as an artist.
Major series have been created while in France, Mexico, Germany, Hawaii, and California.
Her art is included in exhibits and collections (private and corporate) located in North America and Europe.
Charmaine Elgood has exhibited in galleries and juried fine art shows in Vancouver, on Vancouver Island, BC, and in Oregon and Washington, US.
She has shown works in juried art events and artisan fairs including markets, art studio strolls, and in her own studios with soirées and Open Studio days.

Charmaine Elgood was born in Salmon Arm, BC and raised in Victoria on Canada’s west coast.
Her base was Vancouver, BC until 1990 then she established her studios in the southern region of Vancouver Island, and since 1999 in Victoria, BC.
