Situation
AVI, a service organization supporting people affected by HIV, HCV, and substance use, sought a new identity that honoured its roots in the AIDS epidemic while reflecting the realities of today’s opioid crisis. The process prioritized input from clients, volunteers, staff, and leadership.
PROCESS
Over eight months, facilitated workshops and online engagement informed the identity through discussions around inclusive language, colour, and imagery.

Stephan Jacob hails from Berlin, Germany, and brings more than 20 years of communication design and production experience to iD2 Communications. Recognized for his expertise in both new and traditional technologies, Stephan’s final design work continues to win awards and thrill clients. This highly skilled designer ensures all visual communications maintain project objectives and that all production is of the highest standards.
This dynamic consultant has been working in the industry since 1998. Her two-way communication approaches in public relations have been enjoyed by clients in the industries of community development, business development, tourism, food and wine, retail, performing and visual arts including the film industry.
Heather Leary APR (Accredited Public Relations Practitioner) provides a complete range of communications and public relations services with specific expertise in media relations. Her strengths include strategic communications planning to assist organizations in meeting long-term organizational objectives. She works within the community to reach a broad range of stakeholders while setting communications objectives that generate measurable results.


Dr. Jennifer Hall is an expert in policy, planning and public sector governance. Her varied 20-year public sector and non profit career pairs with her years working for government ministries and crown agencies. Dr. Hall has extensive experience with international cross jurisdictional projects. Her work is increasingly focused on organizational development, policy, strategic planning and governance.
Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals, and the Greater Victoria Police Victim Services Society. Dr. Hall teaches public administration at the University of Victoria and is also a professor at the University of Alberta, teaching in the local government program course.
She chairs several non-profits organizations including Institute of Public Administration of Canada,
