The Pearson Seminar on Youth Leadership (PSYL) had written a book to inspire change from youth leaders. A restricted two colour print budget inspired iD2 to layer the colour to create the illusion of more colour. But the yellow vegetable based ink contained barium - a toxic metal. iD2 questioned the system and asked the printer to change the ink formula and assume the responsibility for additional costs for this experiment. iD2's problem solving eliminated toxicity and raised awareness within the print industry.
